The stars shine brightly in the night sky,
The stars weren't once so far away,
When once we dared to reach up high...
But then we turned and walked away.

The ships once flew to distant Luna,
The planets once seemed within our reach...
But somehow then we lost the way,
And now we're stranded on the beach.

But there are still those who dream of stars,
With "Pathfinder" and "Clipper" there is hope,
We're still a long way away from Mars,
But perhaps, it's back within our scope.

The stars shine brightly in the night sky,
A challenge to all the human race:
There's all the resources we need out there,
It's time to go back into space.
